Organisation & Governance

Organisation
Since its creation in 1994, VALOREM Group has experienced continuous growth, establishing itself as an independent mid-sized company committed to renewable energy development, with a strong focus on European expansion.
Its growth is supported by stable and reputable European financial partners (AIP Management and Bpifrance through its France Investissement Energie Environnement 2 fund), as well as regional investment partners (IDIA Capital Investissement, Grand Sud-Ouest Capital, IRDI, Avenir Enterprise, and Crédit Agricole Aquitaine Expansion), ensuring strong local roots.
However, the group maintains its independence and energy for action thanks to its founders, their families, and its employees, who still hold the majority of the capital and voting rights.
To provide comprehensive expertise and an integrated vision at every stage of its renewable energy projects, VALOREM Group relies on specialized subsidiaries:
- VALOREM – Renewable energy project studies, development and financing
- VALREA – Transport, construction and logistics
- VALEMO – Supervision, operations and maintenance
VALOREM Group also owns Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) to manage operational assets and holds stakes in innovative companies within the renewable energy sector, such as AKROCEAN and EOLINK.

Governance of VALOREM Group

Jean-Yves GRANDIDIER’S passion for defending renewable energies takes root in his childhood. The 1973 oil crisis forged his pioneering spirit, and he was convinced that new energy resources needed to be explored. After gaining experience in the aerospace industry, he founded VALOREM in 1994. Deeply involved in his industry, Jean Yves GRANDIDIER knows how to call on the public authorities to put in place the right regulatory framework for the development of wind energy: in 1996, he co-founded France énergie éolienne, a French association representing the industry, now known as France Renouvelables. Today, his wind engineering office has become a green energy operator with expertise in every step of a renewable energy project.
